On 13 September 2013 students from Great Milton C of E School in Oxfordshire celebrated the “Harvest Symphony” festival with a reading of Deborah Amar’s poem “The Lilies Whisper Poetry.”
Freddie Cunningham, Catriona Cunningham, Polly Cunningham, Esther Davies, Hiba Torabi, Georgia Sansom, Sarah Forsythe and Lizzie Lawrence read beautifully and movingly, starting with the reading from the Gospel of Matthew Ch 6 ‘Consider the Lilies’, a poem about the beauty and symbolism of lilies called ‘The Lilies Whisper’ [sic] by Deborah Amar, a thoughtful prose on lilies by Christina Rossetti based on the Bible reading and finally two prayers, thanking God…
