Darkeness

By Deborah Amar

We are the things of darkeness
The eaters of your tears
That hover by your footsteps
acknowledge all your fears

we make your joy run dry
and flood you with great hate
we linger in your shadows
making sure you are too late

we are the things of darkeness
and now we call to you
to create now the new darkeness
that only you can do

we bid that you should wake them
the children of the night
fill them all with worries
and fill them all with fright

summon now your spectres
to march upon the hills
let loose the tides of darkeness
that mercilessly kills

breathe deep the winds of carnage
and sing with sheer delight
grow cold against the day
and become fire in the night

summon the rage of storm clouds
bring forth the burning rain
draw agony, misery, and torture
but most importantly pain

awaken what has fallen
and make it into slave
entice the earthen worms
with food inside the grave

give this all to darkeness
and we assure to you
by bringing things of darkeness
you shall be darkeness too

Now you must share their darkeness
Now you must share their fate
Spill tears into the shadow
For now it is too late.

Writer & Professional Digital Marketer As a hobbist writer and professional digital marketer, my interests are many, but my passions are interwoven. A potent imagination and intellectual curiosity draw me to fantastical stories, scientific theories, and lively challenges. I'm a comic book fan, web comic glutton, PC gamer, tennis and golf dilettante, connoisseur of Asian culture, animal lover — my interests are many, and they all influence what I write. I loathe reading subtitles and translations and would much rather experience the culture directly, which compelled me to my multi-lingual capabilities in English, Japanese, Mandarin, Korean, and Spanish (SoCal essential). Professionally I'm a corporate digital marketer who also serves as Adjunct Professor for SDSU and CSULB. This site is dedicated to my hobby writings, including poetry, short stories, and other in-progress literary works. I mostly enjoy writing supernatural fantasy adventure, light horror (especially ghost stories), … read more...
